Once long long ago there was a programmer. They wrote a program and contributed it to the open source community. It was called phplinks and it was good. The program evolved, changed owners, got a New© name and after a moment in the sun, was left to wither and die. Months later, on a grey and dreary day, a naive and unsuspecting person stumpled upon the software and downloaded it. After much frustration and seemingly enldess hours of aspirin and coffee consumption, he finally caught a glimpse of the genius the original author had embedded in it. He hoped he could revitalize it. Bring it into the 2nd millenium so that its secrets would not be lost in the murky waters of history. We are still trying, but with every incarnation we are closer to realizing the satisfaction the orignal authors must of felt when completing such as ominous task. Our initial public release was dubbed Dew-NewPHPLinks2. It was greatly enhanced by the 2 Sourceforge members adamsjd and nicnoc and repackaged as version 2.0.0.1 see: http://sourceforge.net/project/memberlist.php?group_id=88752 Later a few Dew-code members squashed some bugs and added some features, repackaged as 2.0.0.2 and then 2.0.0.3 Finally, the no longer naive but still unsuspecting person having recovered their sanity and surviving the caffeine withdrawls continued his attempts to further the evolution of Dew-NewPHPLinks. And that brings us to more recent times. The current releases: DewNewPHPLInks version 2.0.1.0b DewNewPHPLInks version 2.0.1.0a SEF (search engine friendly) We hope you like them.
